POLICE have stepped up the search for an Avondale Heights woman missing for three weeks.
Victoria Police media spokeswoman Anna Erbrederis said bank records indicated Janet Rogers, pictured, may have been in Hoppers Crossing the day she went missing.
"Police have found links to Hoppers Crossing, but at this stage we have no further clues to her whereabouts."
Ms Erbrederis said Ms Rogers' family and friends were growing more distressed each day, and she urged anyone with information to come forward.
Ms Rogers left her Hanley Street home on the morning of October 14 in an upset state. She was carrying a bag of clothes and a few personal belongings, including her mobile phone and purse.
Ms Rogers is 168cm tall, more than 50kilograms, with dyed brown-maroon hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black tracksuit pants with a white stripe down the side and a white hooded jacket with gold embossing.
